Job description

Pharmacy Technician – Hospital 

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a part-time coverage assignment at an inpatient behavioral health facility in Waukegan, IL. This role will support daily pharmacy operations including medication filling and delivery to units.

Assignment Details

  • Start: ASAP
  • Schedule: 2–3 days per week
  • Hours: 6:00am – 4:00pm (may extend as needed)
  • Weekend coverage may be required

Requirements

  • Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
  • Ability to be on feet/walking for extended periods
  • Reliable and consistent availability for ongoing coverage

Responsibilities

  • Filling medications
  • Delivering medications to patient care units
  • Supporting pharmacy workflow and daily operations

Additional Information

  • 2–3 days of training required prior to start
  • HCS and Omnicell experience preferred (training available)

Dress Code

  • Scrubs (black/gray) or business casual
  • Closed-toe shoes required
  • Professional appearance standards enforced onsite
