Job Title: CT Technologist (CT + Diagnostic Radiology)

Location: Cudahy, WI (20 minutes from Milwaukee)
Facility: 100-bed, Level IV Trauma Center


About the Facility
  • 100-bed hospital with Level IV trauma designation

  • Equipped with 2 CT scanners

  • Supportive department with imaging assistants, transport staff, and hospitalists

Position Overview

This role involves dual responsibilities in CT and Diagnostic Radiology, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.


Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience (hospital setting preferred)

  • First-time travelers accepted

  • Certifications/Licensure Required:

    • BLS

    • ARRT (CT)

    • Wisconsin State License

  • Experience with Toshiba/Canon Aquilion scanners preferred


Patient Population & Workload
  • General patient care (no neurosurgery or cardiac cases)

  • Patient ratio: 1:1

  • Experience in general CT imaging required


Technology & Equipment
  • EMR: Epic

  • Imaging System: McKesson PACS


Scheduling & Logistics
  • Shift details: Contract-specific

  • Weekend, on-call, and holiday requirements: Contract-specific

  • Orientation: NEO + 2 unit shifts

  • Floating: Not required

  • Scrubs: Any color

  • RTO: Requires Nurse Manager approval


Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Imaging
  • Position patients and adjust imaging equipment for optimal image quality

  • Determine appropriate radiographic techniques based on patient condition

  • Obtain and document patient history for radiologist review

  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and professionalism at all times

Technical Expertise
  • Perform CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures competently

  • Follow scanning protocols as directed by radiologists

  • Review images for quality and determine if additional views are needed

  • Identify and troubleshoot imaging artifacts

  • Evaluate CT orders using ACR Appropriateness Criteria

Equipment & Safety
  • Operate imaging equipment efficiently and safely

  • Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions

  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of images

  • Adhere to all radiation safety protocols

  • Handle and maintain equipment with care
