The range of services we offer includes landscaping, irrigation, mowing, lawn fertilization, landscape maintenance, outdoor and holiday lighting, snow removal and retail sales. POSITION SUMMARY

Garden Center Associates are an integral part of our Garden Center. The associates are responsible for assisting customers, caring for plants as well as Garden Center upkeep. The technicians get plant orders ready for our installation crews on a daily basis. We are looking for people who enjoy working with people, plants, and the great outdoors. This can be a very physical, hands-on position and requires weekday and some weekend hours. This is a part time, hourly position.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS

  • Greet customers and provide assistance
  • Pull plants that are sold for jobs and move inventory
  • Water and maintain plants
  • Load and unload plant trucks and customer purchases
  • Garden Center grounds upkeep and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS

  • Some retail and/or horticulture experience preferred
  • Bobcat operation experience or willingness to learn is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team


WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must maintain regular and reliable attendance, some holidays and weekend availability required
  • Exposed to exterior elements (i.e. pollen, chemicals, cold and heat, etc.)
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Requires extended periods of activity (walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting)
