Job description

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON OF 2026-27. WE WILL NOT START THE INTERVIEWING PROCESS UNTIL MID-AUGUST WITH AN ANTICIPATED START DATE OF MID-SEPTEMBER.

What our Part-Time hiring process is like:
While every position is different, our part-time hiring process is typically a two-step process, sometimes more depending on the nature of the role. After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our hiring manager for that particular role.
After interviews have been conducted, candidates whom the hiring manager selected will be contacted by our Talent Acquisition team. Candidates who are not selected to move forward will be contacted via email. We would love to call 100% of the candidates, however we typically interview well over 250 candidates during this part-time hiring week, and we want to give every candidate the decision as soon as possible.
A quick summary about the Role:
The Replay Operator will operate the instant replay decks and recall instant replays as directed by the Event Producer/Director during Orlando Magic/Orlando Solar Bears games and other live events at the Kia Center, as well as Osceola Magic games at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL. Assist in the execution of the event script, as assigned, assuring all event elements and corporate sponsorship obligations are fulfilled while enhancing the overall live sporting event atmosphere.
What the position will be responsible for:
  • Maintain operation of Evertz Dreamcatcher (Kia Center) and Ross Mira (Osceola Magic) replay systems, including pre-game setup and testing and post-game system set up as directed by EIC.
  • Set up and operate replay equipment, including server folders and control devices, to capture, record, and play back video footage as directed by the Event Producer/Director.
  • Generate and edit video clips for replays, highlights, and other on-screen content, often following specific game storylines and production needs
  • Ensure the video and audio quality of all content is up to production standards, including checking incoming feeds and edited segments
  • Work closely with Director, Producer, and other team members to fulfill replay requests and troubleshoot any technical issues.
  • Utilizing Evertz Dreamcatcher Copilot software at Kia Center, leverage metadata harvested in real time and applied to clips in the form of tags to curate playlists and bins as assets for Producer and Operators to use and tell stories.
  • Organize and maintain replay archive during event
  • Create melts/highlight packages for play back and archiving purposes (Halftime, Player/Team packages, Post-game rolls outs, etc)
  • Create event clips for mobile, web and other users as directed
  • Generate highlight packages for internal and external clients post-event as needed.
  • Assist department in maintaining high level of event production
  • Facilitate Referee Replay Reviews with direct headset communication to Refs at scorer's table (Osceola Magic).
  • Assist in post-game archiving and content organization
  • Report any operational issues immediately to EIC
  • Work effectively in dynamic and changing environments, often under tight deadlines.
  • Assist in the technical strike of the Broadcast Technology Equipment, including but not limited to the radio equipment, camera equipment, and scorer's table
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date availability and information on ACStaff.com
  • All other duties as assigned.

What is required for the role:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • 2 years minimum of broadcast/live video production experience required.
  • 2 years replay operation experience strongly preferred.
  • Position requires the ability to effectively run the instant replay decks as designed including the ability to talk, hear and see clearly.
  • Employee must be able to communicate effectively and excel in a energetic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take direction without follow up.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and support multiple high level executive positions.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
