Operations and Finance Manager – Part-Time Financial Hub for Premier Steel Fabricator


Job Overview

  • Job/Employment Type: Part Time.
  • Project Scope: Commercial, Industrial, Government, and Union.

The Opportunity

You will serve as the financial engine and operational hub for a premier union steel fabricator. This dual-impact role allows you to lead front-office operations while directly influencing the company's growth through precise financial management and strategic reporting.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Maintain accurate books and daily accounting entries to ensure the firm's financial integrity.
  • Generate monthly financial reports that empower leadership to track profitability and scale effectively.
  • Drive the billing cycle by creating professional invoices and managing collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure all union-related documentation is executed with total precision.
  • Manage lien waivers and compliance requirements to protect the business and our project partners.
  • Act as the primary administrative point of contact for clients regarding billing and project needs.
  • Lead day-to-day office operations to streamline workflows as the company continues to expand.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a dual financial and operational role within the construction or industrial sector.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and the management of daily financial entries.
  • Direct experience handling payroll, union documentation, and the processing of lien waivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume billing cycles and professional collections.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in a construction office environment.
  • Deep understanding of union-specific labor requirements and compliance standards.
  • Experience in generating and interpreting project-based profitability reports for leadership.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
