Job Family STAFF- Support Staff Grade C1 Salary $14.00 - $15.28 Department Adult Education / CEPD Reports To Director, Adult Education FLSA Status Non-Exempt First Review Date September 30, 2025 Position Overview The Part-Time Information Specialist, Adult Education responds to inquiries regarding Adult Education class schedules and fees and meets with students to help ensure the effective operation of the Adult Education program. This position works closely with Campus personnel to support student services. This is a temporary grant funded position through December 31,2026 contingent upon grantor funding and grant extensions. What you will be doing
  • Receives, screens, and directs phone calls to assist students in admissions and registration processes
  • Updates and maintains student records
  • Provides ongoing communications and assists students through the onboarding process
  • Schedules and confirms appointments for student testing
  • Provides support to departmental staff, including student follow-ups
  • Assists in maintaining department files and records following confidential information policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and six (6) months of customer service experience
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Possess good customer service skills
  • Possess superior ability to learn program deals
  • Knowledge of class offerings and all departments within Continuing Education and Professional Development department
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to project a positive image of the College and its programs
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
