Job Summary
The Maurer School of Law seeks candidates interested in part-time employment working in the facility department to perform a variety of tasks in support of facility services and functions in the areas of light maintenance, custodial, event set up and tear down, and related work.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
  • Monitors facilities and identifies type and scope of facility repairs under guidance from the Asst. Dir. of Administration and in absence of other Senior staff.
  • Assists the facilities department in coordination of office moves and special event set-up and tear down.
  • Performs mail room and shipping/receiving duties.
  • Delivers packages or mail as needed.
  • Performs custodial duties as needed.
  • Performs light maintenance as directed by the Asst. Dir. of Administration.
  • Assists facilities department with maintenance of student lockers.
  • Serves as backup and fills in for other position during vacations, leaves, absences, etc.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EPXERIENCE
Required
  • 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or other related trade or craft.
SKILLS
Required
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Maintains a degree of professionalism
  • Demonstrates time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to be thorough and dependable
  • Ability to operate independently
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to move about the workplace for long durations, the ability to operate tools, ability to ascend/descend ladders/stairs, ability to move furniture and move boxes.

$18.00 per hour
Work Hours
15-25 hours per week
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and requires flexibility in scheduling, preferably in the morning.
