Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Youth Drone Instructor to lead engaging workshops and classes that inspire creativity and skill development. This hands-on class introduces students to the basics of drone flight, safety, aerodynamics, and creative challenges using beginner-friendly drones. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, patient, and passionate about inspiring young learners in STEM levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach students the fundamentals of drone flight, safety protocols, and drone technology.
  • Supervise and assist students during hands-on flying sessions and group activities.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children.
  • Develop a curriculum, including fun challenges like obstacle courses or team missions.
  • Monitor student progress, ensuring all participants are engaged and following safety rules.
  • Set up and maintain drone equipment; report any technical issues.
  • Communicate with program coordinators and parents as needed.
  • Ensure classroom and outdoor areas are clean, safe, and organized.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a teaching, tutoring, or camp setting.
  • Familiarity with drones, remote-control devices, or similar technology (training can be provided).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for STEM education and hands-on learning.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to different skill levels and learning styles.
  • Must pass a background check.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Drone operations
  • 1+ years in teaching
  • Has a reliable mode of transportation
  • Competent in creating lesson plans
