The Media, Culture and the Arts Department builds on a solid foundation in the liberal arts to guide students toward their academic goals while preparing them for society. MCA coursework develops expertise in the visual arts, music, media production, writing, communication, and modern languages.
Job Summary
Middle Georgia State University (MGA) invites applications for a part-time instructor of communication to join our growing and student-centered media and communication program. The successful candidate will teach human communication, public speaking, or other introductory courses to support the bachelor's degree in media and communication.
Responsibilities
  • Teaching courses as needed to support the media and communication bachelor's degree
  • Providing quality instruction in human communication and public speaking courses
  • Recruiting undecided majors through Core IMPACTS courses
  • Presenting MCA programs as attractive disciplines to dual-enrolled students
  • Attending occasional departmental events

Master's degree in communication or a related field such as public relations, journalism, advertising, or marketing
