Job description

We are seeking a Commercial Collection Specialist to join our team. This is a part-time position offering up to four (4) paid hours per workday. The role is in-person at our Ventura, CA office.
Our company focuses on collecting outstanding commercial accounts (i.e., debt owed by one business to another business). In this role, you will actively reach out to businesses to assist in resolving their past due accounts. You will be responsible for calling and e-mailing businesses and business owners, and transferring calls to a supervisor to negotiate an acceptable resolution.

Responsibilities 
  • Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts
    • Substantial outbound call production will be required, including leaving voicemails
    • E-mail communications
  • Review accounts to understand business ownership, appropriate contact methods, and communication history
  • Maintain accurate documentation of account status and collection efforts
Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills
  • High school diploma/GED required; college degree a bonus if you have it but not required
  • Previous experience as a debt collector or telemarketer is a bonus if you have it but not required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred but not required
