Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct rehabilitation care in physical therapy based on physician referrals, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
  • Act as a liaison with patients, families, and support departments, ensuring knowledge of practices, procedures, and regulations governing post-acute care.
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate competence in all areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding all proprietary and sensitive information.
  • Comply with organizational policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism by adhering to the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training.
  • Follow established physical therapy treatment plans for patients.
  • Oversee and assess the care provided by Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Rehabilitation Aides, and students in the PT and PTA programs.
  • Utilize therapy software accurately and effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT). Graduates from 2003 onwards must possess an MSPT or DPT.
