Description:

Superior Metal Technologies is looking for a Bilingual HR Assistant for our 120,000 square foot facility. Our assigned department works on day shift typically a 8 to 10-hour shift on a Monday to Friday schedule (weekends as needed). The experienced Bilingual HR Assistant (English/Spanish) will oversee our HR functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing recruiting & onboarding processes, keep and maintain employee records, benefits administration, Employee Relations and HR support in general. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of product quality and safety compliance in our HR department.


This is a Part Time position currently, hours will have to during the times of Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm (25 to 30hrs max).


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Assisting with jobs ads, coordinating interviews, contacting candidates, and facilitation the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintaining accurate personal files, updating HR databases, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Benefits Administration: Supporting employees with benefits enrollment, answering questions about health insurance, retirement plans, and other HR programs.
  • Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll processing, tracking attendance, disciplines and compensation records.
  • Employee Relations: Acting as liaison between employees and HR manager, addressing routine inquiries, and directing employees to appropriate resources.
  • HR Process Support: Helping coordinate events, HR policies, training programs, and internal communications, and supporting HR projects and initiatives.

Communicate effectively with other departments, employees, managers and executives.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (preferred)
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience, internships, or coursework in HR
  • 1-2 years in manufacturing environment
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and lean methodologies.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HRIS systems, Workspace, Google, ATS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Solid understanding of HR policies, labor laws and benefits administration and onboarding procedures
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in manufacturing.
