Job Description
Building Sciences Fall Adjunct Faculty Position
The School of Architecture and Design (SoAD) is currently seeking a part-time adjunct instructor for the 2026 fall semester to teach an in-person course for the Bachelor of Science in Building Sciences program on campus in Boston.
BSCI4000 - Building Performance Analysis:
This course introduces advanced digital tools for the simulation, prediction, and analysis of building components, whole buildings, and urban environments. Students explore the relationship between Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Building Energy Modeling (BEM), offering insights into BIM-to-BEM workflows, interoperability, and contemporary modeling challenges. Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, case studies, and group projects students gain an understanding of how integrated digital tools can inform energy-conscious design strategies from early conceptual stages through detailed design development.
This 4-credit course is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 - 9:45 AM. The fall term classes begin on Sept. 8 and end on December 8th, followed by the review and exam period.

About the Building Sciences Program:
Wentworth's Bachelor of Science in Building Sciences leverages the long history of success in the fields of architecture and construction management. Students begin their first year immersed in the architectural studio gaining design thinking experience including design methodology, representation, and communication skills. In the second year, students continue in architecture studio and add coursework in pragmatic construction means, methods, and building systems coordination. In the third year, students apply their design skills to construction management and Building Sciences specific courses.
