They regularly facilitate coordination meetings, help resolve model clashes, and ensure that all disciplines' models are integrated accurately. Effective communication with architects, engineers, and contractors is crucial, as the BIM Coordinator must align everyone on modeling standards, data sharing protocols, and project timelines. To thrive as a BIM Coordinator, you need strong expertise in architectural or engineering design principles, proficiency in BIM standards, and typically a relevant degree in construction, architecture, or engineering. Mastery of BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and familiarity with project collaboration platforms is essential, with certifications like Autodesk Certified Professional being advantageous. Job description

BIM Coordinator Position

Assemble Management (www.assemble.management) is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to support the firm’s BIM & VDC Manager and Project Management team. This role is hands-on and project-focused, responsible for day-to-day BIM coordination, model maintenance, and technical support across multiple luxury residential projects.

The BIM Coordinator will work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal project managers to ensure models, drawings, and coordination workflows align with Assemble’s BIM standards and project goals.

This role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working directly in models, resolving coordination issues, and supporting a growing BIM department.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage live Revit models for internal coordination use
  • Support model coordination efforts across architectural, structural, and MEP consultants
  • Assist with clash detection and issue tracking using Autodesk Forma and Navisworks
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of consultant models and drawing sets under direction of the BIM Manager
  • Prepare coordination views, sheets, schedules, and documentation for internal and external use
  • Implement and follow Assemble BIM standards, templates, and workflows
  • Support file management, model versioning, and Forma folder structures
  • Assist in tracking and resolving BIM coordination issues with consultants
  • Generate markups, screenshots, and technical exhibits for meetings and correspondence
  • Support project managers with model-based analysis, visualization, and documentation
  • Participate in coordination meetings as required
  • Handle project correspondence via email and Forma platforms
  • Other ad-hoc technical and coordination tasks as needed

Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit - this is non-negotiable
  • Demonstrated experience with Autodesk Forma, Construction Cloud and Navisworks
  • Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
  • Direct experience performing clash detection and model coordination workflows
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, multi-project environments and managing competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam
  • Familiarity with project management tools like ClickUp or similar
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD required
  • Experience with Archicad, SketchUp, Dynamo, Lumion, or other visualization/BIM tools is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
  • Ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, collaborative with consultants, and genuinely interested in resolving coordination problems rather than just documenting them

Work Environment & Benefits

The BIM Coordinator will work from Assemble’s Manhattan Beach office and may travel to project sites occasionally. Assemble offers a collaborative, high-energy team environment that values initiative, curiosity, and process improvement.

Benefits include:

  • Ten days of Paid-Time-Off, plus 10 paid conventional holidays
  • 401k with a 3% company sponsored match
  • Profit Sharing
  • Non-commute travel reimbursed
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Plans
  • $75,000-$85,000 Compensation
