Job description

An industry-leading professional engineering and consulting firm providing geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing services is seeking a SCDOT Inspector.
- Perform field services for soils, foundations, pavement sections, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, wood framing, structural steel and other special inspections
- Coordinate with contractors regarding execution of required services and result of testing and/or inspections, as applicable.
- Prepare detailed and complete daily field reports
- Must have SCDOT Level 1 and 2 Concrete Field Technician Certification
- Must have SCDOT Asphalt 1 and 2 and/or SCDOT Earthworks 1 and 2 with the ability to get Concrete 1 and 2
- Must have SCDOT Foundations or can obtain quickly and strong knowledge of SCDOT construction standards and procedures
- Must gave at least five years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on pile driving and bridge/roadway projects
