Job description

TITLE: AUDIO-VISUAL ENGINEER

REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION DIRECTOR

STATUS: PART-TIME

SALARY: TBD

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Audio-Visual Engineer will oversee and coordinate all audio and lighting aspects of the ministry. He or she enhances ministry services and events by ensuring that they are technically supported.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:


  • Oversees and maintains all audio and lighting equipment of CWC on stage, backstage, in the sound booth, and in the fellowship hall.
  • Mixes audio, monitors mixing, and audio recording.
  • Oversees and maintains online service audio experience.
  • Oversees lighting production and equipment.
  • Creates lighting scenes for weekend services and events in the Main Sanctuary.
  • Prepares audio/lighting aspects on stage for rehearsals, worship services, and events.
  • Initiates successful communication with Production Director, Worship Director, ministry leaders, and event coordinators to meet audio/lighting needs.
  • Oversees installation of audio and lighting equipment. This includes obtaining various quotes for potential purchases and expenses to be approved by the Executive of Outreach & Guest Experience.
  • Works in tandem with the Production Director to recruit, develop, train, disciple, and schedule audio/lighting volunteers through the Beyond Sunday framework.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with overseer, peers, and overall church staff.
  • Understands goals and communicates the status of projects.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christand display Christ-centered behavior (treating people with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity always).
  • Can use a Mac Computer
  • Skilled in all technical areas of running a soundboard.
  • Experienced in audio and monitor mixing and audio recording.
  • Ability to collaborate well in a team environment.
  • Experienced in lighting design and maintaining lighting equipment.
  • Familiar in the ONYX Lighting System.
  • Able to learn on the job.
  • Dependable, consistent, leader-analyst who professionally promotes good communication.
