What You Will Do?

Marquette is loving for a hospitality focused Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our Assisted Living Unit!! The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing quality nursing care on the assigned shift and for assuring the completion of all care related tasks and documentation. The LPN supervises unit personnel as assigned and coordinates the completion of care duties. The LPN oversees the responsibilities of Qualified Medication Aides and Certified Nursing Aides assigned to the unit.

Salary Range: starting at $27.00 an hour 

Shift: 2PM-10:30PM (part-time, 7 shifts a pay period)

Responsibilities: 

  • Supervises and participates as needed in providing care for residents in accordance with nursing standards of care, facility policy & procedure, and pertinent regulations.
  • Responsible for the assessment of the health and mental status for each resident during the shift by making rounds in accordance with facility standards, and timely and accurate reporting of changes in conditions to all concerned parties.
  • Responsible for the timely documentation of nursing care, administration of medications, incident reports, physician orders, and all other aspects of care in Assisted Living in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Properly delegates authority, responsibility, and accountability to other responsible departmental personnel as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing.

Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with passed board exam as designated by the State Board of Health.
  • Currently licensed with the Indiana State Board of Nurses Registration and Education as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Through knowledge of clinical nursing and nursing regulations, as well as practical knowledge of nursing skills and standards.
  • Knowledge of the principles of management and supervision.
  • 1 year or more of experience working in Assisted Living and/or Memory Care
