Job description

Brillient is seeking an experienced Part Time Analyst Programmer to join our team supporting a federal contract in Silver Spring, MD. This position requires U.S. Citizenship or a permanent resident and the ability to obtain and maintain a Government public trust level security clearance. Candidates must have lived in the United States for at least three out of the past five years prior to your application date. You will also meet the residency qualifications if you lived abroad while on government or military duty or if you were a dependent of a federal employee of military member. This is for a proposal effort. The employee can work from home two (2) days per week and one (1) day in the office in Silver Spring.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs. Analyzes business applications and design specifications. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Resolves a variety of difficult operating problems. Prepares required documentation including program-level and system-level documentation. Prepares instructions for computer operators. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provides software conversion and implementation support. May provide technical direction and supervision to more junior programmers. Strong skills in interface design, database access technology and client-server or stand-alone application development. Ability to work independently on modules, large subroutines, small applications or database updates and modifications. Responsible for keeping abreast of current application development and database technology. Attends project meetings and contributes advice on the design of the application. Reports to the project leader on progress, obstacles encountered and solution alternatives.

Specific tasks shall include, but not be limited, to the following:

  • Implement the Tableau roadmap maintenance process and obtain input data from RM managers on a monthly basis, refresh Tableau dashboards, and make the updated Tableau visualizations available on the designated file share or collaboration site (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Develop new Tableau dashboards, update existing Tableau dashboards, and assist with improvement of RM Tactical Plan process and tools.
