Job Summary:

Vail Resorts is seeking a Digital Analyst to support our Digital Experience organization with monthly business reporting (MBRs) and ongoing performance insights across a portfolio of 30+ resort and product websites and our mobile app. This role is ideal for an early-career analyst who is curious, detail-oriented, and excited to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations that improve guest experiences and business outcomes.

You’ll partner with Digital Experience Managers, Marketing, UX, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure performance is understood, issues are surfaced quickly, and reporting is consistent and decision-ready.

Job Specifications :

  • Starting Wage: $58,461.98 - $74,389.88
  • Employment Type: Year Round
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
  • Housing Availability: No

Job Responsibilities:

Monthly Business Reporting & Executive Ready Insights

  • Produce and evolve Monthly Business Reports (MBRs) for digital properties, summarizing key trends, drivers, and recommended actions.
  • Build, maintain, and QA recurring dashboards and reporting views (BrightEdge, Adobe Analytics).
  • Track and report on KPIs across the guest journey (e.g., discovery → planning → purchase/booking intent actions), including traffic, engagement, conversion indicators, and channel performance.
  • Deliver concise narrative summaries to accompany reports, highlighting:
    • what changed month-over-month,
    • why it likely changed (where evidence supports),
    • what actions we recommend next.

Behavioral Insights & Experience Diagnostics

  • Use monitoring tools to identify friction points via heatmaps, session replay, scroll behavior, and form interactions.
  • Support journey and funnel analysis by segmenting audiences and behaviors (new vs. returning, device, channel, geography, resort/product).
  • Identify content and UX opportunities based on observed behavior patterns (e.g., drop-off points, rage clicks, excessive scrolling, form abandonment).

SEO & Discoverability

  • Monitor organic search performance using BrightEdge (or similar), reporting on visibility, share of voice, page/topic performance, and opportunity areas.
  • Partner with SEO stakeholders by surfacing insights and changes in trends that may impact resort/product discovery.

Digital Performance & Reliability Signals

  • Monitor and report on site/app performance indicators using Dynatrace (or similar) to highlight potential experience-impacting issues (e.g., latency, availability, error trends).
  • Flag anomalies, correlate performance signals with drops in engagement/conversion indicators, and route issues to appropriate technical partners.

Measurement Quality & Documentation

  • Validate measurement consistency by checking for anomalies in Adobe Analytics trends and key events.
  • Support a KPI and definitions library (e.g., metric definitions, report logic, dashboard notes) to maintain reporting consistency across 30+ properties.
  • Assist in documenting recurring insights, reporting processes, and data caveats to increase stakeholder confidence and reduce ambiguity.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in analytics, business, marketing, economics, information systems, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in digital analytics, marketing analytics, product analytics, or reporting.
  • Comfort with data manipulation and reporting (Excel/Google Sheets; pivots, trend analysis, basic visualizations).
  • Strong written and verbal communication—able to translate data into clear narratives for non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized and able to manage recurring deadlines across many stakeholders and properties.

Desired:

  • Exposure to one or more: Adobe Analytics, Mouseflow, BrightEdge, Dynatrace
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, eCommerce, Tableau, and website operations.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner).
  • Basic understanding of web/app performance concepts
  • Background in hospitality, travel, or consumer-facing digital environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve workflows and issue-tracking processes at scale.
  • Interest in UX and customer journey optimization

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $58,461.98 - $74,389.88. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

  • MORE employee discounts on lodging, food, gear, and mountain shuttles
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Excellent training and professional development

Full Time roles are eligible for the above, plus:

  • Health Insurance; Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance plans (for eligible seasonal employees after working 500 hours)
  • Free ski passes for dependents
