Transportation Aide
Position Type: Part-Time
Estimated Hours: Approximately 5 hours per day (Monday through Thursday).
Position Summary
The School District is seeking a dependable and student-focused Transportation Aide to assist with daily student transportation to alternative placement locations. The Transportation Aide will ride in a school van alongside the driver to help maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive environment for students during transport.
This position includes two transportation runs each school day:
  • Conway to Stoutland and return
  • Conway to Lebanon and return
Primary Responsibilities
  • Ride in a school van during daily transportation routes
  • Support student supervision and help maintain appropriate behavior while in transit
  • Assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of students and the driver
  • Help maintain a calm, respectful, and positive environment in the vehicle
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with students, transportation staff, and administrators
  • Follow district transportation policies and safety procedures
Qualifications
  • Ability to work positively with students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Experience working with children or students preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles safely
