Job Description

Starting wage $20 to $27.50 per hour plus shift premiums! We seeking career-minded individuals for Production work. We will train you in the entry level jobs in the mill which is anย industrial environment. The work includes operation of paper and pulp manufacturingย machinery and forklifts. Workers must have the ability to learn entry jobs and move up to other machinery operating jobs. Production workers are hourly union positions and must be able to work days shifts and night shifts as scheduled. Please read qualifications and information.

Qualifications

Preferred applicants will have:

  • Industrial or manufacturing work experience with a good work record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a physical abilities test.
  • Some computer experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (day shift and night shift).
  • Ability to be on your feet during a 12 hour shift.
  • Have an understanding that you will work some weekends and holidays as the mill runs 24 hours per day/365 days per year.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.ย 
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule as the entry level workers will fill in for absences and general needs of the mill (days off may vary each week initially, and will work full time hours).
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
Additional Information
  • Pay is $20.00-$27.50ย per hour (or more) after 30 days ($20 per hour for the first 30 days).
  • Production job rates range from $26.76ย to $38.41ย per hour depending on the position. Advancement is based on a seniority and qualification system. All hours worked on Sunday's are time and one half rate. Night shift premium is $.94 per hour in addition to job rate.
  • Inland Empire Paper Company continues to offer excellentย benefits to hourly employees after 90 days of employment including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, 401(k) retirement plan and 13 paid holidays per year.
  • New employees are subject to a 6 month probationary period.
  • IEP is a smoke-free and drug-free (including cannabis free) production facility operating 24 hours per day/365 days per year.
  • All job offers and subsequent employment are contingent upon a medical physical, drug screen, physical abilities test and background check.
