Job description

Data Entry Verification Specialist - Paper Money

Sarasota, FL | On-site | Full-time | Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:15am โ€“ 5:00pm

Work with history, not just spreadsheets. PMG (Paper Money Guaranty), the world's largest paper money grading service, is hiring full-time Paper Money Cataloging Associates to help process collectible currency from around the worldโ€”from ancient dynasties to modern banknotes. You'll enter important details about each item into our system, helping preserve and catalog historical artifacts. No special degree or prior experience with collectibles required. If you're focused, organized, and excited to learnโ€”we'll train you.

What You'll Do:
  • Review customer submission forms and verify information
  • Enter key details into our system like:
  • Country, denomination, year, catalog number, and serial number
  • Learn to identify different types of paper money and related collectible items
  • Maintain accuracy while meeting consistent daily production goals
  • Work hands-on with real historical and international currency in a supportive, team-based setting
What We're Looking For:
  • 1โ€“2 years of steady work experience in any fieldโ€”office, retail, finance, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to focus and meet daily goals with reliability
  • Comfortable using a computer and handling physical items
  • Willing to learnโ€”you don't need any paper money experience
  • Interest in organizing, history, or collecting is a plus
  • Multilingual applicants encouraged (Spanish, German, Chinese, Arabic, etc.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
What You'll Get:
  • Starting pay: $18/hr
  • Full medical, dental & vision benefits
  • Paid Time Off & paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid training with structured onboarding
  • Opportunities to grow into roles in grading, operations, or international travel
  • Hands-on experience with rare and historic collectible items
  • Open, collaborative work environmentโ€”quiet and focused, but team-based
  • Headphones allowed after training, so you can concentrate your way

What's the Work Environment Like? You'll be part of a single, shared workroom where everyone works together. It's a quiet and focused space, but also open and friendlyโ€”with constant opportunities to learn from teammates and ask questions. Headphones are allowed once you're trained, and help keep you in the zone. You'll have clear daily productivity targets to help guide your workflowโ€”but don't worry, we'll support you during training and help you ramp up gradually. Consistency matters more than speed, and accuracy always comes first.

Why People Like Working Here: This isn't just another office job. You'll work with real pieces of history, in a calm and organized setting, while gaining specialized skills in a unique collectibles industry. Many of our team members go on to roles in grading, operations, or even domestic and international travel. Whether you're looking for long-term stability or a stepping stone into something niche, this is a truly one-of-a-kind opportunity.
