Start your journey with Blue Compass RV as we are looking for Body/Paint Shop Technicians to join our team and specializing in high quality collision repair and painting of RV’s.  

We are looking for a self motivated individual. A Body/Paint Technician with previous Auto, Marine and/or RV body experience and able to make repairs to damaged body panels of RV's, to include replacement, repair, fabrication, and painting of body panels, and occasional replacement of windows and windshields. Individual will also be trained on other RV repairs when in between collision repairs., Qualified candidates should be able to perform repairs on a variety of materials including, fiberglass, aluminum, steel and composites. Candidates should also be proficient at spraying both single stage and base/clear paint systems.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Executes work orders while diagnosing and repairing recreational vehicle equipment and structures while determining best product for repair.
  • Keeps track of parts and materials used in repair or replacement activities.
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of work progress and ensures that the final work. product is inspected by supervisor or designee.
  • Performs related troubleshooting tasks based on skill level.
  • Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body
  • Can properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair
  • Able to remove damaged parts using power tools and cutting torch
  • Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment
  • File, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
  • Replace bolts on panels and align properly
  • Make cosmetic repairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections back to original specifications
  • Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE in custom vehicle painting / automotive painting / RV painting or Metal/Body Work
  • Ability to prep, refinish, and color match
  • Must have experience in base coat clear coat applications
  • Must have experience with fades, pearls, and stripes
  • Finish major painting repairs
  • Complete work in high quality manner
