Job description

The Pineville Porcupines, proud members of the Old North State League, are a summer collegiate baseball team based in Pineville, North Carolina. The team is looking for the next leaders in Health Science and Kinesiology to join their team for the summer. Interns must be a current student in an Athletic Training program with preference given to final year students first. This position is offered as an unpaid internship for non-certified students, and a paid position for certified athletic trainers.
Duties will include but not limited to:
  • Evaluate, treat and document injuries
  • Provide pre-game, in-game and post-game coverage and treatments
  • Set up and teardown of all game equipment
  • All other duties as assigned by the training and coaching staff

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong work ethic in working with athletes and all assigned task
  • Ability to work independently with a focus on improving athletic training skills
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, players and training staff
  • Current Athletic Training student with preference to a final year student
