Mental Performance Coach

Job Description
Responsible for conducting outreach and direct recruitment activities to prospective youth by determining basic eligibility and conducting screening. Includes developing and maintaining linkages with referral sources such as school districts, colleges, and human services agencies. Position includes a significant amount of travel.Perfect fit for candidates that are involved in the community with youth and families.

After recruitment is completed you will work with these clients. The Mental Performance
Coach is responsible for picking up clients, home visits, implementing the Treatment
Plan for children in a public environment, and returning clients to their home.

The Mental Performance Coach position is a full-time Second Shift position working with youth and adults during after school hours and on the weekends (Day hours in the summer). This position offers the flexibility to create your own schedule based on the client's availability. Common client availability generally includes late afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Hours are usually 1pm-9pm Monday-Friday and during the day on Saturdays during the school year. If school-based, primary hours can be during school hours.

This position may be for you if you are committed, comfortable driving from home to home and in the field with families rather than being in an office environment, and passionate about working with youth while seeking to make a positive impact in their lives. Many of our clients are in the Cincinnati area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma required.

Experience working with youth and/or adults is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

a Acts as a liaison, client advocate, and coordinator among those involved with the client's care

a Provides ongoing education to client and family members in the form of verbal and/or written consultation or educational materials

a Carries a caseload and provides timely and accurate record keeping and reports as required for assisting clients

a Participates as appropriate in staff meetings, training, and supervision sessions
a Meet clients and families at their homes, schools, libraries and/or other community facilities
a Meet with school officials, justice system officials, and health practitioners with clients as needed
a Complete progress notes after meeting with clients within 24 hours
a Maintains strict confidentiality
a Demonstrates and abides by Core Values and operating principles.
a Ensures individual weekly goals are met.
a Works with Counselors to develop youth retention strategies.
a Ensures that all Personally Identifiable Information is securely stored at all times.
a Conducts direct recruitment activities including speaking.
a Attends, exhibits and presents at designated events including neighborhood and county activities/fairs, job fairs. Resource fairs and other events as directed by management.

a Develops and maintains linkages with referral sources such as colleges, school districts, human services agencies, youth organizations, recreational centers, national, state and local agencies to identify potential students and conduct outreach activities.

a Interviews potential candidates to obtain information to support eligibility and complete applicant folders.

a Coordinates and maintains communications with management for coordinated support of outreach and placement.

a Completes all required documentation in individual folders for enrollment per company requirements.

a Cultivates and maintains a climate on site that is free of harassment, intimidation and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and participants to work and learn.

a Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

a Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and car insurance.

a Must be 21 years of age or older
