Looking for a fun summer job?

Welcome to Big Blue Swim School, our mission is simple yet profound: to show kids they can do anything by unlocking their full potential in the water. We create big moments that empower children with both the skills and confidence they need to excel. As an instructor with the Big Blue Swim School team, you play a pivotal role in shaping this transformative learning environment. With continuous training and growth opportunities, we ensure that our environment is not only fun but also safe and inclusive.

We're on the lookout for exceptional swim instructors who are ready to make a splash by helping to create meaningful moments at our first - location in Austin!
What You’ll Do
  • Teach safe and engaging swim lessons to children of various ages and skill levels.
  • Ensure a fun, positive, and encouraging experience for all swimmers.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and emergency procedures
  • Greet and interact with parents and families, answering questions and providing updates on their child’s progress.
  • Assist with customer service tasks, including scheduling, registrations, and handling inquiries at the front desk.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming pool and facility environment.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist with additional tasks or schedule changes as needed.

What We’re Looking For
  • A love for working with children and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility with hours, MUST work evenings and weekends.
  • Comfort working both in and out of the water (up to 20hrs/week in water)
  • Previous swim instruction or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Lifeguard or CPR certification (a plus, but not required)
  • Great job for teens and all ages!

Work Environment
You'll spend your wet days in a warm, indoor pool environment. On your dry shifts you will provide a “best in class” experience for our families. While coaching kids, you’ll enjoy a rewarding and energetic atmosphere. The team you will be a part of is like nothing you have ever been a part of before!
