Job description

Packaging Supervisor


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage box shop, and packaging warehouse personnel. (A, B, & C Shift)
  • Manage Fabrication, and Harvest packaging inventories.
  • Reduction of packaging claims.
  • Identification and implementation of packaging cost saving initiatives.
  • Order management of all packaging materials through communication with Sales, Scheduling, Production, Quality Assurance, and vendors.
  • Maintaining and updating packaging standards for Fabrication, and Harvest.
  • New product packaging specification tests.
  • Follow up on all audit reports from vendors.
  • May require work on weekends as needed, minimum once per quarter.
  • Management and training of packaging auditor personnel.
  • Communication of packaging audit results to all supervisors and superintendents.
  • Qualifications: 
    • 1+ years of experience working with packaging in food production facility.
    • 1+ years of experience in warehouse management and 5S methodology.
    • Ability to speak multiple languages, including English & Spanish preferred.
    • Advanced Microsoft excel capabilities.
    • Experience with ERM and analysis tools such as SAP and Qlikview.
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits: 

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid time off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays; 
  • 401(k): eligible after 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
  • Base salary range of $66,940k - $75,000k
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
