Job description

Summary

Bud's Goods and Services is seeking a Packaging Technician to join our award-winning team. The primary role of this individual is to package our brand of flower for sale into the retail and wholesale market in accordance with determined quotas. Duties will include but are not limited to: weighing, counting, labeling, packaging, and tracking cannabis product in raw material and finished goods form. The Packaging Technician will be under the responsibility of the Plant Manager at the manufacturing facility and will be directed by the Director of Productions.

Job Duties:

  • Work on production lines to prepare, label, fill, weigh, seal, and box products, particularly the weighing and packaging of flower into 1/8th containers
  • Perform all product-handling activities such as counting, packaging, sealing, labeling, placing products in boxes, and organizing
  • Apply labels to product according to procedures
  • Audit labels to ensure proper format and all information is present and in compliance with state regulations
  • Package finished product in compliance with state regulations and company policies
  • Work with a scale to accurately weigh product and track numbers
  • Update inventory logs daily and ensure inventory counts are accurate
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations and company policies and SOPs
  • Case packing products according to our packaging procedures
  • Ensure finished product meets our stringent quality standards
  • Meet determined quotas and timelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist management in other duties as assigned

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work a fully flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Extensive use of hands, including repetitive movements

Experience and Education:

  • 1+ years' experience in packaging or inventory-related role
  • High school diploma/GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Basic understanding of mechanical packaging equipment
  • Basic math skills
  • Working knowledge of basic computer functions including e-mail and Excel

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Must have a reliable vehicle
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
