We're seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and guest-focused Night Auditor to oversee overnight hotel operations. Position Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing overnight hotel operations while delivering exceptional guest service, completing daily accounting functions, and serving as the overnight Manager on Duty.

This role combines front desk responsibilities with financial auditing, ensuring the accuracy of daily revenue reporting, balancing accounts, maintaining hotel security, and supporting guests throughout the overnight shift.

The Night Auditor plays a vital role in preparing the property for the next business day while maintaining the welcoming, relaxed, and elevated guest experience that defines The Standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests with warm, personalized hospitality during overnight hours.
  • Process guest arrivals, departures, room changes, and reservations accurately.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns.
  • Handle guest recovery situations while maintaining The Standard's service culture.
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and welcoming lobby environment.
  • Complete the nightly audit process accurately and on schedule.
  • Reconcile room revenue, restaurant revenue, spa charges, cash, credit cards, and third-party transactions.
  • Balance guest accounts and post all room charges, taxes, and adjustments.
  • Generate and distribute daily financial, occupancy, and operational reports.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies before closing the business day.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation and audit records.
  • Serve as the overnight Manager on Duty.
  • Monitor overall hotel operations throughout the overnight shift.
  • Conduct regular property walks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and security.
  • Coordinate with Security, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments as needed.
  • Monitor overnight arrivals, departures, and VIP activity.
  • Prepare operational handoff notes for the morning leadership team.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and unusual situations.
  • Ensure hotel safety standards and security procedures are followed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, and financial information.
  • Report incidents accurately and completely.
  • Support emergency response procedures and hotel safety initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate shift reports and operational logs.
  • Process cash drops and maintain cashier accountability.
  • Assist with room inventory management and operational reporting.
  • Ensure front desk work areas remain organized and professional.
  • Support operational projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous Night Audit, Front Desk, or hotel operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel property management systems preferred.
  • Basic accounting and financial reconciliation knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and guest service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable serving as overnight Manager on Duty.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish preferred.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
