Job description

Hourly Pay Rate: $21.35 hr

Schedule: Thursday - Monday ; 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Location: Mesa, AZ

Required Orientation

Our New Hire Orientation takes place during your first week of employment:
Mondayโ€“Friday | 8:30 AMโ€“5:00 PM | HR Campus in Mesa, AZ

Early release may be granted upon completion of all orientation requirements. Please note: orientation is not available during evenings or weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:ย  Responsibilities will include but not limited to:ย ย 

  • Attend and actively contribute to weekly staff and training meetings.
  • Document (verbal/written) and submit significant and routine paperwork such as progress notes, statistics reports, daily activities, upcoming events, special concerns, varied incident reports, etc., as required by the program and submit to appropriate personnel.
  • Under the direction of the manager, implement day-to-day structure:
    • Role model appropriate behaviors to clients
    • Answer and screen phone calls (multiple lines)
    • Complete program paperwork designed to job
    • Brief clients on house rules, chores, housekeeping, requirements, fire safety instructions, assuring adherence.
    • Provide resources/screening crisis calls
    • Complete client intake/exit forms
    • Provide varied verbal and physical crisis intervention.
  • Assist with determining priority for program components in conjunction with the Program Supervisor/Manager.
  • Assist with the introduction of program and facility orientation.
  • Assist with maintaining program appearance: cleanliness and maintenance of agency physical plant, equipment and/or agency vehicles.ย  May report repairs and maintenance needs.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Prepare and/or assist with meal/snack preparation and serving, including assisting with cleanup.
  • Participate in required client care supervision on a regular basis as required by state law and A New Leaf policy.
  • Assist with โ€œwake-upโ€ call
  • Complete all job duties on duty list.
  • Monitor security of the property through quarterly hour ground checks.
  • Assist with client intake/exit paperwork as needed.
  • Review all resources (logbook, staff meeting notes, etc.) to stay well informed of events, program and client needs.
  • Make appropriate referrals to client.
  • Crisis intervention for clients.
  • Ability to stay awake during the overnight shift.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High School or GED preferredย 
  • Associates or Bachelorโ€™s Degree preferredย 

Experience:ย ย  ย 

  • Experience working with homeless or economically disadvantaged population preferredย ย ย ย ย 
  • Knowledge of Community Resourcesย

  • Class One Fingerprint Clearance Cardย 
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License with reliable transportationย 
  • Current Auto Liability Insuranceย
