MTI Ambulance is the Next Gen of EMS - blending proven experience with modern technology and a supportive culture. We're building a workplace where dispatchers aren't just "call takers," but the heartbeat of operations. We are seeking EXPERIENCED dispatchers who have verifiable experience as an ambulance dispatcher or EMT. We currently have an opening for an overnight dispatcher (4 twelve hour shifts per week).

Responsibilities
  • Answer and triage incoming calls with professionalism and empathy.
  • Use CAD and radio systems to assign ambulances efficiently and safely.
  • Screen calls for "red flag" complaints (chest pain, stroke symptoms, altered mental status, etc.) and transfer appropriately to 911.
  • Support field crews by providing clear, accurate information.
  • Maintain documentation and records for compliance and quality review.
  • Collaborate with leadership on improving response efficiency and crew support.
Requirements
  • Must have EMT or Ambulance Dispatcher Experience (No Exceptions), DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE
  • Certification: California EMT OR EMD (Emergency Medical Dispatcher) OR ETC (Emergency Telecommunicator) certifications.
  • CPR card: BLS-level, issued by AHA or ARC.
  • Typing speed: 35+ WPM (or ability to type quickly while multitasking).
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple portals, CAD, and radio systems.
  • Clear, reassuring voice and strong customer service skills.
  • Team player with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Able to work overnight shifts, therefore work independently, solve problems and provide excellent customer service to our callers.
Pay & Benefits
  • Rate: Up to $75,000.00per year (4 twelve hour shifts, with 4 hours of OT per shift)
  • Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 8 hrs; double-time after 12 hrs.
