An Outside Sales Intern assists the sales team by learning and participating in direct sales activities outside the office, such as meeting with clients, generating leads, and supporting customer relationships. They often shadow experienced sales representatives to understand the sales process and help with administrative tasks like preparing presentations or updating client records. The internship provides hands-on experience in sales strategies, communication, and negotiation skills, offering valuable insights into the profession. This role is designed to help interns develop the foundational skills needed for a career in sales.

Familiarity with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and possibly digital prospecting tools is often expected. Initiative, resilience, and excellent verbal communication help someone stand out in this client-facing role.
