Campย Gundalow, in Greenland NH,ย is seeking a Outdoor Education Programย Leaderย for the summer 2026ย season! Our camp,ย a traditional outdoor summer day camp,ย serves youthย to build relationships, try new things, make memories, and ensure camper safety all while having fun and acting as positive role models.ย We strive to build supportive and empowering teams to help all team members show up as their best and most authentic selves, so that you can learn,ย growย and thrive during your tenure at the Y.ย 

The Program Leader plans,ย implementsย and leads a specialty program area effectively and safely. Theyย are responsible forย the youth in their program area and collaborating with all levels of camp staff to carry out developmentallyย appropriate activities.ย 

Program Specialists needed for the following areas:ย Archery, Sports, Nature, Drama etc.ย 

Additional Responsibilities:ย 

  • Cultivate and supervise a fun and developmentally engaging environment and activities throughย appropriate techniquesย 
  • Develop and enforce specialty activity and equipment use guidelinesย 
  • Provide ongoing camper programming; support theme days and rainy daysย 
  • Build positive nurturing relationships with campersย 
  • Build cooperative relationships with coworkers and supervisorsย 
  • Engage with campers in a way that fosters Character buildingย 
  • Uphold the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Courageย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ experience working in a day camp environment preferredย 
  • Background and/or education in recreation/physical education preferredย 
  • Applicable certifications for specialty areaย 
  • High School diploma or equivalentย 
  • Possess strong organizational and group management skillsย 
  • Must be available to attend camp trainings before andย throughoutย camp seasonย 
  • Able to bring a patient, caring, responsible,ย flexibleย and positive attitude to workย 

Position Specifics:ย 

  • Camp season runsย 06/22/26ย throughย 08/21/26ย and must be able to workย most ofย the camp weeksย 
  • Pay rangeย $14.75ย - $16.75ย hrย depending upon experienceย
