Job Description
Our client is looking for an Oracle HCM Payroll, Benefits, and Oracle Time & Labor for 12 months contract role in Lawrenceville, GA. This role will be part of the IT team responsible for maintaining and supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM applications, with a primary focus on Payroll, Benefits, and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL). The role will serve as a strategic liaison between business users, the implementation vendor, Oracle, and technical teams. Responsibilities include configuring systems, designing solutions, and providing ongoing support to ensure effective and streamlined use of the Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM suite. The position will also be responsible for evaluating quarterly Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM releases, assessing business and technical impacts, and coordinating required testing and validation activities with business stakeholders. We are seeking a candidate with an in-depth understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, particularly Payroll, Benefits, and OTL, along with experience in ERP implementations and long-term application support. The ideal candidate is a reliable and collaborative team player who is enthusiastic, committed, creative, and customer focused.
Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 10+ years of overall ERP implementation and/or administration experience.
• 5-7+ years of Human Capital Management (HCM) experience with a strong focus on Payroll, Benefits, and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) within Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• 5+ years of experience serving as an HCM Functional Lead for Oracle Fusion Cloud, specifically supporting Payroll, Benefits, and OTL modules.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud configurations, including custom fields and Fast Formulas, with solid understanding of integrations across Oracle Fusion applications and third-party systems-especially as they relate to Payroll, Benefits, and OTL processes.
• Experience leading full project lifecycles including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment for Payroll, Benefits, and OTL implementations or enhancements.
• Strong understanding of the Oracle Fusion data model and data dictionary, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective solutions across Payroll, Benefits, and Time & Labor functions. Excellent collaboration, communication (verbal and written), and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor and support team members across different functional and technical domains.
Preferred Experience:
• Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Fusion configurations.
• Expertise in security roles, access controls, and workflow setup within Oracle Fusion applications.
• Strong combination of business acumen in Finance, HR, and Payroll with deep technical IT knowledge. Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion applications such as ERP and EPM, with strong exposure to Payroll, Benefits, and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) processes preferred.
• Demonstrated initiative to stay current with evolving technology trends and Oracle Cloud advancements. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly translate complex technical and functional concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• In-depth understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM with a strong focus on Payroll, Benefits, and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL), enabling effective partnership with business SMEs to optimize use of the application suite.
• Responsible for configuration, Fast Formulas, custom fields, and overall system performance related to Payroll, Benefits, and OTL processes within Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• Review and assess impacts of Oracle Fusion quarterly releases and patch deployments, coordinating testing and validation with business teams, particularly for Payroll, Benefits, and OTL functionality.
• Lead end-to-end testing for enhancements and production fixes, including development of test plans and test scripts specific to Payroll, Benefits, and Time & Labor processes.
• Design and manage security roles with a focus on Payroll, Benefits, and OTL data access, ensuring least-privilege access and conducting regular security audits to identify and remediate risks.
• Proactively monitor Oracle Fusion Cloud application performance, stability, and architecture to ensure reliability, integrity, and recoverability of Payroll, Benefits, and OTL services.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and Oracle to manage environment maintenance schedules, refreshes, and outages with awareness of Payroll and OTL business impacts.
• Design and implement best practices to improve functionality, reliability, and security of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, with emphasis on Payroll, Benefits, and OTL modules.
• Troubleshoot complex issues within Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, partnering with Security, Network, Service Desk, and vendor teams to ensure timely resolution, especially for Payroll and Time & Labor-related issues.
• Develop functional and technical specifications for integrations and peripheral applications that interface with Payroll, Benefits, and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL).
• Document system requirements, process flows, policies, and procedures to support Payroll, Benefits, and OTL operations and governance.
• Mentor and train team members on Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, with emphasis on Payroll, Benefits, and OTL functional and technical knowledge.
