Advantage Capital is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate of Origination and Execution to join our renewables finance team.  We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to expand our efforts in identifying, structuring, and executing renewable energy projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the renewable energy market and a proven track record in project finance and development. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Implement the originations and execution strategy for financing renewable energy & supply chain projects, aligning with company goals, institutional investor criteria, compliance based state and federal programs, and market opportunities.
  • Financial Structuring: Support the structuring and negotiation of financial agreements, ensuring optimal financing solutions for projects while managing risk.
  • Pipeline Development: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in renewable energy sectors, including      solar, wind, and emerging technologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with project developers, investors, governmental agencies, colleagues, and other stakeholders to drive successful project execution and term growth.
  • Team Management: Proactively engage with a high-performing team of professionals in the origination and execution of financing renewable energy and supply chain opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and sufficient analysis to stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders, outlining project opportunities, risks, and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, environmental science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-6+ years of experience in renewables (Solar/BESS/Wind) transactions.
  • Ability to effectively support simultaneous workflow from separate deal from origination, to structuring, and close
  • Experience with project finance and tax equity across multiple structures 
  • Preference for hybrid working model close to an existing office, including NYC, Saint Louis, New Orleans, or other locations to be considered
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Passion for renewable energy and commitment to sustainability.
