As an order puller, your primary duties include locating and packaging items, checking order accuracy, and making shipping labels. You may also load and unload freight and use forklifts to move heavy items. To become an order puller, you typically need a high school diploma or GED certificate and work experience through on-the-job training. Additional qualifications include excellent attention to detail, physical strength and stamina, and mechanical skills to operate warehouse equipment.

Work EnvironmentWarehouse, distribution centers, retail warehousesWarehouse, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities

While both roles operate within warehouse environments, Order Pullers primarily focus on selecting and preparing items for shipment, whereas Warehouse Associates handle a wider range of tasks including stocking and inventory management. Understanding these differences helps job seekers identify the right position based on their skills and career goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Order Puller, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Order Puller, you need strong attention to detail, basic math skills, physical stamina, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, and inventory tracking tools is important for efficient order processing. Reliability, teamwork, and effective time management are standout soft skills in this role. What jobs make $1000 per hour?

Jobs that can pay $1000 per hour are typically high-level specialized roles such as top surgeons, experienced anesthesiologists, or certain legal and financial consultants. These positions often require advanced education, extensive experience, and certification, and they are usually performed in high-stakes environments or as independent contractors. For an order puller, such earnings are not typical, as this role generally offers lower hourly wages.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Staying organized and proactive about safety procedures also helps minimize errors and disruptions during daily operations.
