ABOUT THE POSITION
The Oracle Technical Analyst plays a highly technical role in shaping Astec's Oracle Fusion Quote-to-Cash landscape by designing, configuring, testing, and supporting scalable solutions across Oracle Fusion Order Management, Oracle Pricing, Shipping, Oracle CPQ, integrations, reporting, and production support. This role requires hands-on experience with Fusion OM configuration, CPQ administration, order orchestration, business rules, extensions, Groovy scripting, service mappings, and cross-functional Q2C process design. The position partners closely with business leaders, SMEs, architects, developers, and technical teams to translate complex requirements into integrated Oracle Cloud solutions, support Oracle Redwood adoption, and sustain global design standards across enterprise initiatives.
LOCATION: This is a remote work position, within the continental US, some travel will be required.
Key Deliverables
• Lead hands-on configuration, optimization, and support of Oracle Fusion Q2C capabilities across Order Management, Pricing, Shipping, CPQ, and related upstream/downstream integrations.
• Design and maintain technical solution artifacts including configuration workbooks, functional specifications, extension designs, Groovy script logic, service mapping documentation, process flows, test plans, change requests, and user enablement materials.
• Drive solution improvements through order orchestration design, OM extensions, CPQ rules/configuration, pricing logic, testing, deployment, and production support.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
• Lead Oracle Fusion Q2C configuration and support across Order Management, Pricing and Global Order Promising touchpoints.
• Configure and troubleshoot Oracle Fusion Order Management capabilities including orchestration process definitions, fulfillment lines, transformation rules, order attributes, holds, constraints, approvals, DOO setups, service mappings, extensible flexfields, profile options, lookups, and processing constraints.
• Design, develop, review, and support Order Management extensions using Groovy scripting to default values, validate order data, enrich transactions, trigger business logic, call public view objects, and support integration-driven order processing.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, design scalable solutions, produce functional and technical specifications, and validate end-to-end impacts across quoting, order capture, pricing, fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, and reporting.
• Support end-to-end delivery including configuration, integration coordination, data conversion planning, deployment readiness, cutover support, go-live stabilization, and production issue resolution.
• Lead SIT, UAT, regression, quarterly patch, and release testing, including impact analysis, test script development, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and validation of fixes across integrated Q2C scenarios.
• Develop reports, dashboards, documentation, training materials, knowledge articles, and support playbooks while driving continuous process improvement and adherence to global template standards.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent enterprise systems experience.
• 5+ years of technical systems analysis, solution design, or enterprise application configuration experience in Q2C environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Fusion Q2C experience across Order Management, Pricing, Shipping, Oracle CPQ, and integrated quote-to-order/order-to-cash processes.
• Deep functional and technical expertise in Oracle Fusion Order Management configuration, including orchestration process definitions, fulfillment steps, transformation rules, order attributes, holds, constraints, approvals, service mappings, extensible flexfields, lookups, profile options, and setup dependencies.
• Hands-on experience creating and supporting Oracle Order Management extensions using Groovy scripting, including header and line-level validations, defaulting logic, data enrichment, public view object access, error handling, and calls to internal or external services.
• Strong Oracle CPQ configuration experience, including product configuration models, configuration and constraint rules, commerce process administration, quote attributes, pricing/discounting logic, approval workflows, document generation, BML scripting, and CPQ-to-Fusion OM quote-to-order integration.
• Knowledge of Oracle integration capabilities and data tools including REST APIs, SOAP services, Oracle Integration Cloud, FBDI, ADFdi, file-based interfaces, error handling, payload analysis, and end-to-end integration troubleshooting.
• Ability to create functional and technical solution artifacts including FSDs, configuration workbooks, extension design documents, mapping documents, process flows, test scenarios, cutover plans, deployment support materials, and production support runbooks.
• Experience with OTBI, BI Publisher, subject areas, data models, and operational reporting used to support Q2C monitoring, exception management, reconciliation, and leadership visibility.
• Strong testing discipline across SIT, UAT, regression, quarterly patch validation, release readiness, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and post-go-live stabilization in integrated Oracle Cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with architects, developers, business SMEs, support partners, and vendors to resolve complex configuration, extension, integration, data, and security issues.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business users and leadership.
• Experience with Oracle Redwood UX, Visual Builder Studio, Oracle Cloud release management, and SOX-controlled change management practices is preferred.
