Job description

An energy company is seeking a contract Oracle HCM Specialist to join the team. This role serves as a senior HR subject-matter expert for Oracle HCM, supporting business processes, data integrity, reporting, and system adoption. The Oracle HCM Specialist is responsible for partnering with HRIS and business stakeholders to improve Oracle HCM processes, ensure accurate and compliant HR data and transactions, and support the company's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal control standards.

Location: Houston, TX

Type of Position: Contract


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior HR subject-matter expert for Oracle HCM, supporting business processes, data integrity, reporting, and system adoption.
  • Partner with HRIS and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve Oracle HCM processes and functionality.
  • Ensure HR transactions and employee data are accurate, complete, timely, and consistent with established controls.
  • Support Oracle HCM implementations, enhancements, testing, configuration reviews, and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain HR reporting and analytics to support business and workforce decisions.
  • Provide guidance and training to HR professionals and leaders on Oracle HCM processes and functionality.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of HR experience required, 8+ years preferred
  • Advanced working knowledge of Oracle HCM processes and functionality
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Ability to work onsite in West Houston 4-5 days per week
