Job description

Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Employment Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 4:30pm, Flex

City: Bettendorf

State: Iowa

Position Responsibilities:

In this position, you'll be an active OR RN for ORA at our Crow Valley Surgery Center. You'll perform nursing activities in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the patient's surgical experience. In addition to providing nursing care to the patient in the operating room during orthopedic surgical procedures and assisting the surgical team as needed, you'll address patient needs during admission, provide comfort and reassurance to the patient, and explain the intraoperative phase routine procedures and care to the patient. ORA holds all of our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a member of our ASC team, you're actively involved in surgical cases that make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent as well as an active RN license in both Iowa and Illinois. We would prefer previous OR and/or orthopedic experience, but it is not required. A successful candidate will display excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, a strong ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately, and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients and their families. This candidate must have the ability to travel as needed.
