Front Desk Coordinator โ€“ High-End Ophthalmology Practice

Luxor Eye Institute | Bakersfield, California | Full-Time

Help Create an Exceptional Patient Experience

Luxor Eye Institute is looking for a polished, dependable, and organized Front Desk Coordinator to serve as a key point of contact for our patients.

This role goes beyond answering phones and checking patients inโ€”it helps shape the overall experience and flow of the practice. Our patients rely on us for advanced eye care, including cataract surgery, LASIK, ICL, dry eye treatments, and other specialty services. The right candidate will ensure every patient feels welcomed, informed, and cared for from the moment they arrive.

What You Will Do

Greet patients with professionalism and warmth

Manage patient check-in and check-out efficiently

Answer and direct incoming calls

Schedule and confirm appointments

Verify insurance and patient information

Collect copays, balances, and payments

Maintain accurate patient records

Communicate scheduling needs with the team

Support smooth daily patient flow

Complete end-of-day reconciliation reports

Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality

Keep the reception area organized and professional

Within your first 90 days, you will:

Confidently manage front desk operations

Navigate scheduling and registration systems accurately

Verify insurance and collect payments with ease

Communicate clearly with patients and staff

Stay organized during busy clinic hours

Identify and resolve scheduling or registration issues
