Job description

Now hiring highly motivated, organized individuals to work as front desk associates for the largest Retina Practice in North Carolina.

The front desk associate works directly with patients and physicians to provide customer service for patients. The front desk associate will gather patient information, schedule appointments, collect payments, and may assist with the call center.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and register patients according to established protocols.
  • Assist patients to complete all forms and documentation including medical insurance.
  • Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information.
  • Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy.
  • Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
  • Move patients through appointments as scheduled.
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Collect payments.
  • Consistent review of physician schedules, with minimal reschedules.
  • Obtain external medical reports and maintain patient records as required by medical professionals.
  • Respond and comply with requests for information.
  • Register patients with copay assistance foundations.
  • Maintain a clean and neat reception area.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal customer service skills, including effective listening, clear verbal and written communication, problem solving skills.
  • Ability to master multiple software systems to input and retrieve data.
  • Ability to master ophthalmology and retina terminology.

Set clinic hours are M - F, 8 am - 5 pm. FT hours are preferred.

Some overtime hours may be required.
