Operator – Albany, GA

We are seeking an Operator to join our Albany, GA facility. This role is part of a high‑functioning production team responsible for safely and efficiently producing quality products. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Operator Job Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret production orders to determine required materials and number of batches.
  • Measure and weigh cleaning materials (rubber/water) to clean rotors effectively.
  • Set heater temperatures (170–180°F) and perform rotor cleaning.
  • Review and prepare mixer orders by locating and organizing raw materials in mixing sequence.
  • Weigh each ingredient accurately, ensuring the scale is zeroed after each measurement.
  • Use plastic bags to hold raw materials during weighing.
  • Enter ingredient amounts into the computer system.
  • Verify raw materials meet specifications, rounding measurements to the nearest tenth and keeping values at the lower end of the fraction.
  • Shut down the control panel to perform mixer clean‑outs.
  • Inspect and clean the mixing area to prevent contamination, including machine interior, exterior, and surrounding floor.
  • Follow mixing directions step‑by‑step according to the production order.
  • Monitor temperature gauges to ensure proper batch mixing conditions.
  • Test batch temperature using a probe to confirm it is within required parameters.
  • Secure the mixing area after each batch.
  • Deliver first‑batch samples to the lab for testing and follow instructions for adjustments or continuation.
  • Drop approved batches to the extruder conveyor and monitor the extruder control panel for proper flow.
  • Communicate with the Extruder Operator to maintain smooth line operation.
Operator Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, including operation of production equipment and fork trucks.
  • Demonstrated competency with computers and basic PC software.
  • Ability to lift 50 repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
