Job Description

Summary:

This role is responsible for monitoring the production batch schedules for CA7 & UC4. Ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience with CA7 & UC4 but at a minimum has a strong understanding of batch run process, production control and job scheduling.

  • Monitor Production Batch Schedules using CA7 and UC4ย 
  • Monitor scheduling components, mainframe and other open system performanceย 
  • Acknowledge Critical/Warning/Informational alerts depending on the severity and client impact
  • Manage Backup Recovery Tape Library, offsite tape storage contents, and WMS system backup
  • Facilitate support for documented requests
  • Perform Password Resets on selected systems
  • Perform UC4 Transports from staging to production
  • Work closely, and in coordination with, other Operators to ensure proper shift turnover takes place between shifts
  • Log all incidents in the ITIL ticketing system
  • Work with the Ecolab Monitoring and Escalation Center to communicate outages and resolutions
  • Global SPOC for technical support and escalation related to batch scheduling
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Any knowledge or previous experience of the following would be helpful:ย ย AIX/UNIX,ย Windows, TSM/NetBackup, SAP, AS400, Mainframe, CA7 Job Scheduler,ย UC4 Job ย  ย  ย Scheduler, OPSMVS, Computer Operations, Production Control/Job Scheduling.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a shift based Operations Monitoring setting
  • Knowledge if IT Incident Management processes & toolsย 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an Enterprise Operations environment
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills
  • Exceptional customer service/technical support skills and a commitment to providing an exceptional level of service
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • The ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities
