The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking a Research Analyst to join our team. With more than 60 academic departments and specialty divisions across 9 campuses, as well as strong clinical partnerships with Indiana's leading hospitals and physician networks, IUSM advances its mission to prepare healers and transform health in Indiana and beyond. The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is dedicated to providing collaborative, innovative, and comprehensive clinical care, research, and academic training for the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. Job Summary
  • Performs highly complex and intricate laboratory experiments.
  • Leads protocol development, data analysis and report preparation.
  • Maintains safety records and ensures safety/compliance procedures and protocols are followed.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises lab staff and student employees; assures observation of safety policies.
  • Maintains fiscal accountability of the program and approves all expenditures for the lab.
  • May develop, prepare, and coordinate grant applications and grant-related activities to obtain funding for research projects and related work.
  • May present research findings to staff, leadership, and external partners.
Qualifications

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
  • Master's degree in science related field plus 3 years of research experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in science related field plus 6 years of research experience.
