Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Securities Operations / Trade Services Specialist to support day-to-day securities and trade operations. This role will handle complex operational activities, trade documentation, Letters of Credit, document collections, and client inquiries while identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily Securities Operations and Trade Services activities.
  • Assist the Trade Services Desk with document collection, review, processing, and verification.
  • Review Letters of Credit and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle documents related to Lines of Credit, document collections, and trade processing.
  • Open, scan, capture, organize, and process trade-related documents.
  • Prepare and send documents according to established instructions and procedures.
  • Respond to escalated operational questions and provide timely resolution.
  • Interact with internal and client personnel to gather, validate, and provide information.
  • Identify process gaps and proactively recommend improvements to processes and tools.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is processed within required deadlines.
  • Support logistics and movement of trade-related documentation associated with importing and exporting goods.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Letters of Credit (LCs) and verification of related documentation.
  • Experience with document collections and trade document processing.
  • Understanding of trade finance operations, bank-to-bank documentation, and import/export processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex operational tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle escalations and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Skills
  • Experience using SharePoint.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Suite
  • Strong document management and data-entry skills.
