Job description

As a Senior Acquisition Program Manager, you will provide strategic acquisition program management support to the Government Program Management team. You must have an in-depth understanding of Department of War and Air Force acquisition policies. You will assist the program manager and interface with various aerospace, space, cloud, and cyberspace industry subject matter experts to develop requirements, evaluate contract proposals, and execute programs within cost and schedule constraints.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Provide acquisition planning and program management expertise in lean six-sigma strategies and execution; working knowledge of agile methods, practices, and execution for DoW service acquisition organizations is highly relevant
  • Demonstrate ability to assess and articulate risk, including to non-technical audiences. Prepare assessments of technical progress toward major engineering milestones
  • Assist by evaluating trade studies, technical approach/designs, and proposed engineering changes
  • Participate in weekly recurring planning / oversight meetings (PMR, QPMR, IT Mod Scaling Operations, Program Increment Planning, Prototype to Production Business Process Governance, etc)
  • Program Management in terms of cost, schedule, performance, and risk management
  • Daily PM oversight of Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) Performer (Microsoft) activities (prototype development, Animal program operations
  • Demonstrate proficiency in drafting programmatic documentation and presentations (e.g., information support plans, program transition plans, test plans, product support strategies, product roadmaps, etc)

Required:
  • 15+ years of experience with program management of major acquisition programs; must have experience in a SAP environment within the past 5 years
  • Strong research skills and a desire to learn new technologies such as public and private cloud solutions in multi-level security environments
  • Must be comfortable in a challenging, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field REQUIRED
  • Master's Degree preferred

Clearance Requirements:
  • Candidate must have a US Top Secret SCI security clearance with SAP experience
