This position is for an Operations Program Manager (OPM) supporting the Largo Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC). The OPM responsible for supporting the overall manufacturing operations for a large program or suite of programs within a product line portfolio with annual revenue between $5M and $10M. They are expected to oversee and coordinate all operational aspects of ongoing programs and serves as a liaison between program management, project team, and factory management. This can include financial performance on the programs which includes responsibilities as Cost Account Manager and performing Estimate at Complete. The OPM will make decisions for the direction of the program related to manufacturing plans and Cost Reduction Initiatives. It is also imperative the OPM has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the production organization concerned with the assembly and processing operations, including a thorough understanding of manufacturing related policies/procedures and quality and customer requirements.

What you will do:

  • Total program life cycle execution from bid/proposal through development/EDM, transition to deliver, production, and depot/sustainment.
  • Program Planning, Capacity Analysis, Schedule Management, Resource Planning, and Manufacturing Execution
  • Lead Process improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate Material Management Activities with Supply Chain
  • Monitor and control budget: Estimate at Complete (EAC) development, analysis and presentation, understanding and use of Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk and opportunity management
  • Interface with both internal and external customers at Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Gates, EACs, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), and customer visits/tours.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • In Lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience required
  • 3 years experience in an operations, manufacturing, program, cross-functional, or equivalent environment
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing and Data Analytics tools such as PRISM/Apex, CMES, Kinaxis, and PowerBi
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Defense industry experience highly preferred
  • Familiarity with documentation systems such as Common PDM to validate As-Built configurations, alternates, ECNs, and change history
  • Familiarity with EAC’s, variance analysis, and Risk and Opportunity management
  • Effective communicator, able to improve relationships and work with personnel at all organizational levels, functional stakeholders, and internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated initiative, perseverance, and creativity in problem solving, strategic planning, project and deadline administration, and utilization of business system resources
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use data and information to convey a concise message to team members and key team members
  • Flexibility and agility to work in an undefined development environment where processes and procedures may not always exist
  • A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Ability to manipulate and process reports and work artifacts with large amount of data
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Management
  • BS or BA degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or related field

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
