What We're Doing
Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include MBSE, Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.
The Work
Position Roles and Responsibilities include:- Software development of ad-hoc post processing analysis tools and plots to assess and analyze C2BMC performance (preferrable in java, python, or Matlab)
- Track C2BMC development updates and perform analysis to detect regressions after code changes.
- Collaborate across teams to understand and perform deep dive analysis of C2BMC performance using established Technical Performance Metrics (TPMs), Special Interest Items (SIIs), and other metrics to determine the efficacy of the C2BMC System related to timing, track quality, and other parameters over large datasets.
- Act as the technical liaison between analysts and developers; translate analysis findings into concrete, actionable development tasks.
- Analysis Document/Brief creation and presentation including detailed presentations used by internal/external leadership to assess C2BMC performance.

-This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
-The role will involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic Qualifications
-An Active Final Secret clearance is required for consideration.
-Must have experience producing tooling and products to assist the with the analysis or assessment of a system or project.
-Java or python experience.
Desired Skills
-Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
- Programming languages including Java, C++, Python, data base management, networking or data communications
- Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Experience with DevOps related tooling (Jenkins, HTCondor, GitLab, etc) is desired
- Familiarity with applying statistical distributions in hypothesis testing, model validation, inferential statistics, confidence-interval estimation, and the interpretation of goodness-of-fit tests is preferred
- Experience with performing systems engineering for DoD Information Systems is desirable
- Experience with creating and briefing chart packages for tooling or analysis performed
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
