Job description

A well established, growth-oriented company and leader in the electrical contracting industry is seeking qualified applicants for an Operations & Logistics Specialist position. Candidates with experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, project support, construction administration, or related operational functions are preferred.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. This role serves as a key support position for warehouse operations, logistics coordination, project support, and administrative functions. The Operations & Logistics Specialist will oversee shipping and receiving activities, maintain inventory accuracy, support project material tracking, assist with operational cost tracking, and provide administrative support across operational, project, and business functions as needed.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary based on qualifications and experience, along with an excellent benefits package.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS:
Warehouse Operations & Personnel Oversight:
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and safety.
  • Provide direction and support to warehouse personnel regarding daily priorities and workflow.
  • Coordinate material staging, storage, and distribution for project and field teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts and audits.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Assist with process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and material accountability.
Shipping & Receiving:
  • Oversee all shipping and receiving activities.
  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
  • Ensure materials are properly documented, labeled, stored, and distributed.
  • Coordinate outbound deliveries and shipments to project sites and customers.
  • Track material deliveries and communicate status updates to project and operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials and equipment.

Project Material & Cost Tracking:
  • Track purchase orders, material deliveries, vendor invoices, and project expenditures.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials purchased and allocated to projects.
  • Assist with monitoring project material costs and budget tracking.
  • Support project teams with material tracking, reporting, and documentation.
  • Verify purchasing documentation and maintain organized records.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding order status, deliveries, and material availability.

Administrative Support:
  • Provide administrative support across operations, project management, warehouse, and other business functions as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling, document preparation, filing, and data entry.
  • Maintain project files, warehouse records, purchasing records, and operational documentation.
  • Prepare reports related to inventory, purchasing activities, logistics, and project costs.
  • Assist with project documentation, closeout packages, and operational reporting.
  • Support communication and coordination between office personnel, warehouse staff, vendors, customers, and field teams.
  • Perform additional administrative, operational, and logistics support duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three or more years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, project support, construction administration, or related operational roles.
  • Experience overseeing warehouse personnel and daily warehouse activities.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling.
  • Experience tracking purchase orders, material usage, inventory, and project related costs.
  • Experience providing administrative support in an operations, project management, construction, or business environment.
  • Familiarity with construction materials and electrical contracting operations preferred.
  • Forklift certification or forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Strong recordkeeping and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Apple devices.

Additional Requirements:
  • Work schedule is 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, with Saturday availability as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
