Human Resources Generalist
 
SUMMARY:
Dessert Holdings is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our manufacturing facility in Smyrna, GA. Reporting to a Sr. HR Manager, this role will serve as the onsite support partner to employees and supervisors while assisting with day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can work independently with minimal supervision, and is comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities while partnering closely with leadership.
 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and supervisors at the Smyrna location
  • Provide guidance and support regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, attendance, and employee concerns
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Sr. HR Manager and leadership teams across both facilities
  • Support employee relations matters, coaching conversations, disciplinary documentation, and workplace investigations as needed
  • Maintain and update HRIS, ADP, and Time Clock Plus systems with accurate employee information
  • Manage onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, I-9 completion, E-Verify, badge creation, and orientation support
  • Maintain employee files and conduct audits to ensure compliance and document accuracy
  • Assist with terminations, unemployment requests, and other HR administrative processes
  • Support temporary workforce management, including time tracking and communication with staffing agencies
  • Assist with communication boards, internal postings, engagement initiatives, and HR-related projects
  • Partner with the HR team at the Kennesaw facility as business needs evolve and provide cross-location support when needed
  • Other duties as assigned
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2–5 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or fast-paced environment preferred
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance processes
  • Experience with HRIS systems, and/or timekeeping systems preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Haitian Creole is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build relationships with employees and leadership teams
  • Professional, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
